Eitan Moran, Executive Director of the Society for Advancement of Education, Jerusalem (SAE) visited supporters and friends across the U.S.during a three-city trip to Los Angeles, Cleveland and New York during the last week of July.
Mr. Moran reported on the successful 2016-17 school year, in which 80% of the more than 400 graduates of SAE high schools and residences passed the challenging Israeli matriculation exam, well above the national average of 52%. Other highlights of the year included:
- The first graduating class from Hachmey Lev High School, which was founded in 2013 to provide both religious and secular education to Haredi boys (read more here)
- The 50th Anniversary of the Steinberg Interdisciplinary Educational Residence, which brough 900 alumni and friends back to the campus (read more here)
In addition, Mr. Moran announced the official opening of the 13th and 14th SAE facilities, the Al Sindiana Arab Youth Village for Leadership, which will open its doors in Givat Haviva on September 5, 2017. The Village will include a 7th through 12th grade school and a residence, and expects to open with an enrollment of 120 students from throughout the Triangle Area of Israel. (read more here)
