It was truly the dawn of the first day – for SAE’s new high school Shacharit (based upon the Hebrew word for “dawn”!)
The students who have registered for 7th grade this coming September came together at the El Halev Complex the academic complex on July 4, 2020 for an introductory meeting.
Shacharit, created by the Society for Advancement of Education, Jerusalem (SAE), will be Israeli’s first religious high school based upon the High Tech High (HTH) model, developed in San Diego, CA. The HTH model fosters personal development and excellence, experiential and collaborative learning, personalized authentic work, and equal opportunity.
Keeping with the spirit of the new school students went right to work designing and constructing benches for the school yard.
The Shacharit staff was delighted with the introductory day and reported feeling like the mother and father of a new bride!
